Optus Always Win: Season 2 - Ride The Pipe - Prepaid Snow Party
UPDATE:
- 18/4/08 - Added Prize Winning Percentage Calculation section.
- The table for all the prizes no longer in Optus Always Win : Prizes page, you have to view from Optus Always Win : Terms & Conditions page. Anyway, based on the prizes below and the number of prizes for each of the prize, I already come out with my calculation you guys might interested to look. If you don’t win good prizes, you should want to know why ?

Some of new visitors will be wondering what is this Optus Always Win - Ride The Pipe - Prepaid Snow Party? Actually this is the 2nd Optus Always Win promotion, from the previous successful Optus Always Win: Season 1 - Jump In The Pool - Prepaid Pool Party which just ended on 29th February last month.
The steps and rules still as simple as previous promotion where you need to go to http://optus.com.au/alwayswin and follow the How To Play steps below!
How To Play
- 1 Simply recharge with $30 or more
- 2 Then you need to have agreed with the tems & conditions
- 3 Next, find Wazza the wombat on the half pipe
- 4 Click the “Ride the pipe to win” option for Wazza to show you your prize
- 5 Follow the prompts to claim your prize

Prize Determination Conditions
I notice that Optus stated 1 Terms & Conditions that will promise you getting more and different prizes whereby they promise that you won’t get the same prize for the next 5 code you enter in a row!
For example:-
1st time - You won 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
2nd time - Anything else other than 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
3rd time - Anything else other than 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
4th time - Anything else other than 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
5th time - Anything else other than 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
6th time - Anything else other than 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes**
7th time - You might win the same 10 minutes of Pre-Paid Minutes** prize again
Prize Determination Conditions
. (part of Optus Always Win Terms & Conditions)
- Entrants cannot instantly win the exact same type of Content Prize or the exact same Product Prize more than once within six separate entries.
- For the avoidance of doubt, if an Entrant instantly wins a 10 Free Rev-Up Text prize, they will not win that same prize (i.e. 10 Free Rev-Up Text prize) for their next five entries.
- Entrants cannot win the same category of Content or Product prize two times in a row.
- For the avoidance of doubt, if an Entrant instantly wins a 10 Free Rev-Up Text prize, they cannot win a 20 Free Rev-Up Text prize with their following entry.
- Entrants are not eligible to win a Rev-Up Data Prize for their first two entries into the promotion.

I cannot understand this “drivel”. If you want to run a promotion why not spell it out simply, instead of confusing us.
I will not bother in future.

To Optus,
Why do you make it so hard to claim the prizes you claim we have won from prepay cards???……Are you a gimic ??
By kahpeng on Apr 25, 2008 | Reply
@Douglas: Yeah, hope you can win too.
@F Tranter: I already help you submit your code and here’s your prize. Anyway, the code send to you is from Optus, nothing related to this site. You should get SMS shortly to inform you the prize you won. Click on the pictures below if u can’t see properly.

Deb Burstall : I think maybe you get things wrongly, you should read again the content above, you won’t get the same prize for the next 5 code you enter. (Refer to: Optus Always Win : Terms & Conditions)
For your case, “last 3 prizes have been sms’s ( of different amounts)” - quoted from what you said, each of the prize is consider a DIFFERENT prize, Optus didn’t said the same category such as SMS. Let me break it down nicely:-
Example :
25 Free SMS - 1st time you enter code
50 Free SMS - 2ng time you enter code
30 Free SMS - 3rd time you enter code
For the case above, each time you won is consider DIFFERENT prize accoring to Optus Terms & Conditions.
Hopy my explanation helps, again I would like to remind that, I’m neither any representative from Optus nor this site is related to Optus. I’m sharing experience with other Optus users and helping to clear any confusions.

I have been doing snow Party for *content removed* on my computor and have noted his last 3 prizes have been sms’s ( of different amounts) which from reading your info seems to be wrong as he has had the same category 3 times in a row - last code plugged in tonight - ggg876 - 50 sms’s. Can you let me know if this is the case as it is how I read it - that he could not win the same category 3 times in a row and I can let him know

Ashlee Higgins: Congrats on your prize 15 mins of free talk. The page should load, maybe due to slow connection, that’s why it takes more time to load. Anyway, regarding the prize, life is always unfair. It is true that the purpose of any company doing promotions is trying to get more customer or in a bad way to earn $$.
However, you should not be frustrated or angry over this matter, take things differently, as I said before in my post about previous promotion, just recharge your phone as your normal usage, don’t purpose recharge more often or spend up ur credits so that to recharge more to win more prize!
When you recharge your phone, take it as a bonus, if you’re lucky, then you might win great prize, otherwise you win small prize. This time Optus list out the numbers of prize for each prize type, for example, most of the mobile phones are only 20 units to grab by how many Optus prepaid users ? 1 millions ? 2 millions ? Who knows ? Therefore, the percentage sure is lower and lesser luck! Maybe if you want, when I’m free I’ll calculate each prize % you might win! Haha… okay? Check out this page for more updates in future.
Now, let’s see for any more new experience about this new promotion ?

Oh wow yay, it finally loaded? Umm 15 minutes of free talk. WOW…. -.-` lame. Gosh i want a SNOW BOARD orrrr a New phone, OR the holiday. LOL sif that would ever happen. I bet half the people dont even recieve these prizes. Its just a lame excuse for optus to get more customers. And its so not gonna happen, optus is actually turning shit, I used too get full service where i live now i have too stand in certain spots just too get service? No good. Anyhu, Catch x
