On 29th July, Desmond, KoDoMo and me had a good Sunday trip to Spring Bluff. Thanks to Les Hurford for taking us there. Fist of all, you all might wonder who is this guy, Les Hurford. During our orientation week, there’s a FREE BBQ lunch on wednesday and that was the first time we met this nice and friendly guy, Les. Actually we was chatting with another old man named “Smiley” and Les joined in chatting with us. =D Later on, on the 2nd week when we’re shopping for groceries at Coles, Grand Central, we MET Les again!! Fate, huh!?
We chatted more and more. Actually Les didn’t actually introduce himself the first time we met. Anyway, Les chatted with us from his plan to visit Singapore and Malaysia in September until sharks at Gold Coast. Hehe…Before he left, he gave us his name card with his email and contact number. He asked for our name and contacts, so we wrote for him. Later on, on Friday or Saturday night (forget which day), Les sent a text message to Desmond asking whether we had anything to do on Sunday noon, or he wanted to invite us to join him to visit his friend at Spring Bluff, about 20 minutes drive from the place we’re staying, Student Village.
Since we all have nothing to do at home also on Sunday, so I told Desmond to reply Les that we’ll follow him to Spring Bluff and we’re really happy and enjoyed ourselves. On that Sunday, Les arrived at about 1.30pm and he is with another young guy, Chilie(dunno how to spell his name) from China. Actually, Les planned to visit his friend, Don but Don is working on that day but his wife, Anna is there to welcome us. Before we arrived there, Les told us that when he talked to Anna on the phone, she kinda a lil drunk. Les said that the both husband and wife loves to drink very much. When we arrive there, Anna welcome us inside the house. At first, we tought she’s not that drunk afterall because she talked like a normal person. But we’re WRONG because when she wanted to make us some coffee, she could not hold the cup properly and put on the table. Anna spilled 1 cup of the coffee on Chilie =P
Without Les, we might not be able to see such a beautiful place. After we left Spring Bluff, we suppose to visit Cuckoo Clock Centre, “House of 1000 Clocks” but we’re late. We arrive there at about 4.05pm and the place closed at 4pm. According to Les the place not used to close that early. I guess it’s our bad luck ? =P God of Bad Luck ? Les asked us if we wanted to straight away went home or drop by his house for a dinner before he sent us back. Since we agreed to drop by and had dinner at his house. Since it’s still early for dinner, Les brought us to visit some nice places such as Mount Kynock and areas nearby. There’s 1 mountain called as Table Top Mountain, Les said if we’re energetic, we can try to walk up that mountain during spring maybe but not now in the winter =P
We had a simple dinner, with ice cream and even white wines. Les gave us a book and asked us to sign on it, it’s something like his “guest book”. After we sign on it, we read through the pages and we found out that he had a lot of god-son!! Chilie was one of them. Most pages, visitors will write either as guest or will thanks Les as DAD =P Les send us home after dinner and we reach home about 7.30pm.
